- CAESARS WINDSOR REOPENING FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS Due to provincial COVID-19 restrictions, Caesars Windsor is temporarily closed. The safety of our guests, team members and community is a priority and as such, we will continue to follow the recommendations of provincial and local public health units.
- Country band Old Dominion’s show at Caesars Windsor has been postponed. The casino says frontman Matthew Ramsey needs leg surgery that could not be delayed.
With the entertainment and gaming complex closed since spring due to the COVID-19 pandemic, scheduled shows at the signature venue had to be cancelled or postponed. The casino released an updated schedule of displaced acts this week.
Despite Ontario’s Stage Three reopening allowing gaming halls to reopen with up to 50 people on the premises at once, Caesars Windsor remains closed until further notice.
“The Colosseum remains temporarily closed at this time. We continue to closely monitor and follow the government guidelines and look forward to restarting our Colosseum show programming with a commitment to providing a comfortable environment for our guests,” Caesars said in a release. “In the meantime, we are working diligently with the artists’ agencies to confirm new dates into 2021. We would like to thank our guests for their understanding and patience as we work through these challenging circumstances together.”
The following shows have confirmed new dates for 2021.
- Pitbull – March 28
- Sebastian Maniscalco – May 19-21 for a total of three shows
- REO Speedwagon – June 4
- Schitt’s Creek – June 27
- Bachman Cummings – July 25
- Shinedown – August 7
The acts Ice Cube, Bill Burr, Jason Derulo, and Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons have yet to schedule new dates in 2021.
The shows scheduled during the pandemic that have been cancelled include Tony Bennett, Kesha, Loverboy and George Thorogood, the Steve Miller Band, Styx, and Tash Sultana.
Previously purchased tickets for these shows are valid and will be honoured on the new show dates, according to Caesars Windsor.
Refunds for postponed shows are available on request from the point of purchase, but once a postponed show has been rescheduled, concertgoers will have 30 days to ask for a refund. If you have already requested a refund and it has been completed and processed through Ticketmaster, your previously purchased ticket is now null and void.
If you purchased your tickets through the box office, keep checking with the official Caesars Windsor website for updates. The box office will not reopen right away once the go-ahead to open the casino is given.
All shows are open to those 19 years of age or older unless it is promoted as “all ages”.
