European Poker Tour (EPT ) London
The European Poker Tour, or the EPT, is known as the most prestigious European poker series where the stars come to play. There are a series of poker tournaments across Europe featuring different styles of poker and different buyin amounts. The final championship is a massive NL holdem main event with a buy-in of £5200+ £200. Don’t worry though, you can qualify through a UK poker tournament online for as little as £1 in some cases. WSOP Europe (WSOPE) Poker Tournaments
The World series of poker is a premier European version of the famous American World series of poker tournament. Poker Satellite Tournaments
What is a Satellite poker tournament anyways? A satellite poker tourney can be seen as a “parlay” to a bigger event. For example satellite poker tournaments are very common when the main event has a large buy-in that many people can’t afford. The poker rooms buy seats and then hold smaller tournaments where you can parlay your win into a bigger tournament. Many satellites are one level deep meaning if you get in top finisher positions or win the first poker tournament then you go on right to the main event. There are also a type of poker tournaments called “steps” where you can start very small and move up levels until you reach the main event. Using steps poker tournament satellites, you can get entry to $10,000 for as little as $5.
The Great British Poker Tour
Started in 2007 the Gala Casino ‘Great British Poker Tour’ is a series of 4 qualifying live poker tournaments scheduled between February and August with a £500+ £50 entry fee. These are located at Gala venues throughout the UK. The grand final in October is held in Bristol, this £2,500 entry tournament is expected to have a very large prize pool.
